A force feedback steering wheel is the only connection we have to our sim car (unless you have FFB pedals). Many people spend a lot of time researching the right hardware or car setup tips. Getting an accurate steering rate and feel should be given at least as much attention. We do everything we can to increase the immersion in our sims and the steering response right is a key part of that. This post is a guide on how I have my wheel set up. You are free to do as you please but I suggest using this as a starting point. This is for a Logitech G25/G27. Karts hace steering rotation of around 330 deg, so this is what we've used in the mod and set the lock on the default setup to suit. Logitech Profiler: Before starting the game, set up the Logitech Profiler (or G25 setup in Control Panel) as follows: The above Profiler setup is suitable for running RealFeel and LeoFFB together, so we need to install those next, Controller.ini While not absolutly necessary, this is the FFB section from my Controller.ini. Just copy and paste the text below over the top of the same lines in your exisitng controller.ini. [ Force Feedback ]

RealFeel: THIS MOD INCLUDES THE NEW VERSION OF REALFEEL (v0936) RealFeel takes the actual forces acting on the steering arms and feeds them back through the wheel so you know exactly what's going on. We have included and pre-configured RealFeel (which includes the Sports Coupes v0.9 settings too) so you can just and copy it in. See the folder '_RM_EXTRAS\FFB Plugins' in the mod download for what you need to place where. When we set this up, we don't just guess, we look at the forces at the steering arms and choose values that give the best weight to the wheel while allowing as much fidelity as possible. Feel free to adjust these but do try our settings first and adjust from there. If you need to adjust, then the keys are as follows: LeoFFB: Many who use RealFeel also use LeoFFB to complement it. This adds aditional effects not generated by RealFeel. We have included and pre-configured LeoFFB too so you can just copy it in. See the folder '_RM_Extras\FFB Plugins' in the mod download for what you need to place where. (NOTE: If you are an existing LeoFFB user, backup your existing leoffb.ini before installing.) Now Start rFactor: Click the following menu path... Customise - Settings - Controls - Force Feedback. Set Effects to Low and FFB strength -100% (for a G27). Then click the RATES tab and set as follows: The click CONTROLLER1 (assuming your wheel is Controller 1 - it usually is) and set the SENSITIVITY. Now click the DEADZONE button and set as follows. Next click Customise - Vehicle - Upgrades - FFB. Select the RealFeel option. (it is normally selected by default).
